Islands In A Black Sea
STORY
Every image in my collection has a story, so what is the story here?
This image was captured after taking one of the most challenging and softest tracks we have ever had to tackle in our 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 300TDi . We travelled through the sand to one of the oldest civilisations (Tichitt) in the world to come upon a mesmerising and unique landscape - a feature known as bracanes. Golden dunes seeming to float in a Black Sea of stone. Battling sandstorms and challenging light we managed to capture a shot that we believe captures the uniqueness of the place with a perspective-defying POV.
This print is part of our ‘Limited Time Prints’ and will be available for only one month from the airing date (29th March) of our third Mauritanian adventure film, Is this landscape for real? Check out the story here and watch our journey through the breathtaking Sahara.
